Are You At Risk For Falling?

Are you experiencing dizziness, feeling unbalanced, or suffering from conditions such as vertigo that increase your rish of falling? According to CDC.gov, each year, millions of people, 65 and older are treated for fall injuries and thousands of patients are hosipitalized each year after falling. Prevent risk of falling and treat fall injuries with a highly trained physical therapist.  Take the assessment  below to assess whether you need treatment to reduce your risk of falling! 

FALL RISK ASSESSMENT 

1. Have you experienced falling over the last year?
2. Do you use a cane, or walker, or have you been advised to use one?
3. Do you lose balance when walking?
4. Do you worry about falling?
5. Do you use your arms to push yourself up from a chair?
6. Do you have difficulty stepping up onto a sidewalk curb?
7. Do you take small steps?
8. Does your body sway when standing still?
9. Do you stumble or need to look at the ground when walking?
10. Do you frequently have to rush to the restroom?
11. Are you experiencing any loss of feeling in one or both of your feet?
12. Are you taking any medications which make you feel sleepy, dizzy , or lightheaded?
