My name is Andrea Ramos, and I’m from Oxnard, California. It’s been great—amazing. It exceeds my expectations. I already had a positive feeling coming in, but working here with everybody as a team, everything was awesome.
The work culture here is great. Everybody works together. I’m assigned to a clinical instructor, but it’s not just her help—it’s all the other PTs and PTAs, too. Everybody pitches in and helps out.
Coming in, I had no experience with manual therapy or working with a diverse population of younger and older people. I was really nervous, but they made me feel comfortable and helped any way they could. Leaving now, I feel a lot more confident. I feel like I can treat someone on my own as opposed to being super nervous and scared.
I feel a lot better with my manual therapy, which I had pretty much no experience with before. Everyone has been incredibly helpful. I’ve also learned new techniques, especially with balance.
This place is awesome. The weather’s great—we’re minutes away from a beach. It’s never really too cold or too hot. We’ve even got music going in the background, so patients feel comfortable and want to come in for PT.
For students thinking about where to go for their rotation, this is a great location. The PTs and PTAs all work together to support students. I got feedback from so many people, not just my clinical instructor. Everyone supports each other, and it’s such a good learning environment.
It’s exceeded my expectations. Seeing everybody get better and do well has been amazing. I really like it here, and I’ve enjoyed my time so much!
